First sketches and renders
I developed several shapes for the hook before landing on the final design. I also thought about the construction of the hooks and how they would glide smoothly along the rail.
Prototypes
Made a mockup just to see how these hooks would appear in 3D
First sample
Getting the first sample back was really exciting for me because this was my first product I came out with at Umbra!
I made sure to test the sample to see if the hooks would be strong enough. Currently, this product is rated to hold 25 lbs or 5lbs/hook.
